Destructable terrain

1/52/53/54/55/5 (12 votes)

An example of destructable terrain. You may use in this example any background image and any ground image. So you are not limited to a one color image. Also the screen will not flicker in this example.
Within the zip file you will both find an example which uses a background to take parts of and an example that uses sprites

is there too an version for GM 6.1? (sorry voor bad english, i'm dutch)

@Dlaor, no, unfortunately not. The way GM handles resources in 6.1 is so very differently that this can not be easely ported. However with surfaces a new system for the background based example can be easely created.

oh ok then.

Very nice example, very well commented too.

can be used in GM7, only thing you need to do is to add to the draw_rectangle and draw_circle a new argument. add true to them in the <unknown> mouse click event (that's what gm7 says to me)

I would be awesome if you could provide a GM8 Surface sample that does the same thing.
