john,u need code ofr the joystick support and u need code for more options like if the ball moves right it bounces left etc.

John, you cant make games without coding(programming) them. I bet you use Drag&Drop which is not as flexible as using code(GML).

I was wondering how I could make it so the ball bounces more toward the right or left depending on where it hits the bat. I'm assuming that was the reason for your code, but it didn't seem to effect the game as I expected. Is there some code that I can use to make the bat work the way it should as in most breakout games? I'm fairly new at this and have only ever used the D&D method.

Also there was an error in two of the scripts. I fixed this by deleting the third ,0 at the end of each line where the error was.
