Fully programmed basic arcade game with joystick support, part of a big collection of arcade games I released for my site 40000 visitor record. This game is a simple breakout game which can be easely updated to a full game

John, you cant make games without coding(programming) them. I bet you use Drag&Drop which is not as flexible as using code(GML).

I use a combination of D&D and scripting.
If I only used D&D I'd never make such good games.

Learning code isn't that hard but it makes way better games.

I was wondering how I could make it so the ball bounces more toward the right or left depending on where it hits the bat. I'm assuming that was the reason for your code, but it didn't seem to effect the game as I expected. Is there some code that I can use to make the bat work the way it should as in most breakout games? I'm fairly new at this and have only ever used the D&D method.

Also there was an error in two of the scripts. I fixed this by deleting the third ,0 at the end of each line where the error was.
